The purpose of this project was to support the Directorate of Public Works-Environmental Division, Conservation Branch (DPW-E) cultural resource management and compliance effort with historic preservation legislation on the Fort Bliss military installation. The inventory survey and National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligibility assessment phase of the project focused on the efficient and accurate documentation and evaluation for any previously recorded or newly discovered sites within Maneuver Areas 2A and 2C. Fort Bliss DPW-E contracted for an archaeological survey in order to update existing information about known cultural properties, identify any previously undocumented cultural properties, and assess all properties for their NRHP eligibility.
